This is a Winchester Model 1886 26" rifle with half round and half octagon barrel. It is 45-90 but shoots 45-70 ammo as well. The bore is bright with deep rifling, very nice. The action is smooth and tight. The rifle has factory installed hook style sling swivels. The gun is original finish blue and with some case colors still showing on the receiver. The stock is original with some finish added. The sights are very nice and period correct. The front is a Lyman folding globe. The middle is a Lyman No. 6 folding leaf sight with Rocky Mountain blade and straight blade as well. The rear is a Lyman foldfing tang sight turndown aperture. Forearm has nine kill X's near the front. Cresent butt plate is original. Made in 1895 so it is antique and it can be shipped straight to you in most states. But Not NY or NJ. This is nice find! Very attractive rifle in hand. It is solid and heavy!
