Description: ***SOLD*** Outstanding example of the Model 1886 with a 26" octagon barrel, full length magazine, and chambered in 40-82 WCF Caliber. S/N 125529 made in 1901. Excellent condition throughout, with virtually all original finish remaining, showing only scattered light handling marks and impressions. Shows pronounced case colors on the hammer, lever, and buttplate. There are no cracks anywhere, nor any other notable detractors. Original sights include a german silver front and standard issue sporting rear with original patent stamped C series elevator. The bore is minty, bright and shiny throughout its entire length, and the mechanical functions are all working flawlessly, tight and crisp throughout. Comes complete with a 1970 research card from the Winchester Gun Museum curator T.E. Hall confirming production and configuration.
