Winchester 1886 Saddle Ring Carbine .40-65 "1891
Description:
Winchester Model 1886 Saddle Ring Carbine .40-65wcf. The serial number of this example is 518XX placing date of manufacture in 1891. Overall condition is very good to fine with most of the finish on the Barrel and Magazine turning to a very nice even plum / blue patina with smooth metal. The bore has shine with strong rifling. The bore has scattered pitting as expected on an early Black powder Firearm. The bore is good and very shootable! The receiver has silvered out with any finish found in the protected areas and recesses. The Action is tight, smooth and mechanically perfect. This carbine was ordered with Factory Sling Swivels both functioning perfectly. Wood to metal fit is very good and void of any breaks or cracks. great little 1886 in a very rare caliber. Please phone Tommy at (760)-912-3761 or e-mail all questions and concerns. $35.00 shipping. Insurance will be additional.
