Winchester Model 1886 45-90 Lever Action Rifle With an Early Octagon Barrel in the Rare And Desirable Big 45-90 Caliber. The Low serial No. 820XX Indicates a Manufacture Date of 1893. The Big Model 1886 Action Was the Strongest and Most Potent Lever Action Rifle of The Day, The Standard and Correct 26" Octagon Barrel Displays a Deep and Rich Aged Blue Finish and Retains Excellent Winchester Marking That Includes Manufactured by the Winchester Repating Arm Co. New Haven, Conn. USA. The Upper Tang is Stamped With Style Marking Model 1886. The Bolt Locked on the Top of the Reciever Also Shows a Deep and Rich Blue Finnish. The Reciever Case Colors Have Faded to an Attractive Aged Grey Appearance With Excellent Screw Heads Indicating That this Fine Rifle Was Not Disassembled or Repaired. The action is Fully Fuctional and Tight and Crisp. The Excellent Condtion Butt Stock With Correct Early Heavy Crescent Style Butt Plate and Forearm Dislpay G ood Wood to Metal Fit.
