Description: ***SOLD*** Winchester Model 1886 Deluxe Extra Lightweight Take Down Rifle in 45-70 caliber. S/N 119851 made in 1899. 22" tapered barrel with minty bore. 95% original Blue on barrel, receiver shows some typical flaking and toning. Nice case colors remain on lever and hammer. Rifle has the takedown feature. Beautiful 2x Deluxe wood set with fine checkering and virtually all of its original finish with only very light handling marks. Hard rubber composite widow's peak buttplate and pistol grip cap. Sights consist of Lyman ivory bead front and Lyman 21 receiver sight. Crisp and concise mechanical function. Among the most well balanced and best handling of the various '86 configurations, and in outstanding shape given its age.
