Winchester 1890 2nd Model CASE HARDENED FRAME

Description: DESCRIPTION: Second Model Winchester Model 1890 take down pump action rifle in caliber 22 WRF with desirable CASE HARDENED FRAME, correct front and rear sights, walnut stocks including the correct 12-groove fore arm, correct 24" octagon barrel, tubular magazine, serial # 79550, made 1900. CONDITION: Barrel shows 25% bright thinning original blue with the balance turning patina. Mag tube is patina and has correct knurled loading tube. Traces of the factory case hardening remain on the hammer, trigger guard, and frame at take down screw, otherwise have turned the typical nickel-silver color. Take down is tight. Hammer spring is strong and half cock safety functions as it should. Action is crisp and smooth with no binding. Bore is very good with nice rifling and only minor scattered pitting, way better than average for a gun of this age and type. Muzzle flat has some dents along the outer edges that do not go near the hole and will not affect accuracy if you choose to shoot it (have a competent gunsmith check it over first). Stocks are sound with no extra holes, never sanded or refinished, typical dings and scratches from use, tight short crack coming in from bottom tang but not a big deal. Overall a better than average early 1890 in a desirable configuration!! TERMS: No international sales. Must ship to FFL or C&R license holder.
