Description:
This Model 1890 Winchester was built in 1927, after the 1890 was shortened to only 90 on the barrel script. It is chambered for the WRF cartdrige, which was an early version of today's 22 Magnum (NOT INTERCHANGEABLE). CCI makes 22 WRF ammo with a vlocity of 1300 fps, and 169 foot pounds of muzzle energy for 15-20 bucks for 50 rds. The front face of the receiver is properly marked WRF as built. This 98 year old rifle is in totally original condition, with no corrosion to the metal parts, and no cracks or repairs to the stocks. The original walnut buttstock fits proud to the metal receiver and buttplate. The original blue finish is turning to a brown patina on the receiver and magazine tube, with the barrel retaining 70-80% coverage. The proof marks are clear, and the bore is near mint condition. The sight package is original to this gun, and the screws are unmolested. All in all, a great original shooter, or addition to your collection. $995.00 shipped UPS to an FFL in your area within the lower 48 states. Reasonable offers are considered on all my guns.
Payment by PMO's, or another form of Certified Funds as agreed. Dan at (608) 751-7194 Thanks for your interest.
