Winchester Model 1890 in .22WRF
Takedown 3rd model
Description:
REDUCED PRICE!
Winchester Model 1890 22 W.R.F (not .22 short or long) sn. 537068 built in 1914 with Lyman tang peep site, Lyman number 6 mid site and Sheard front sight. The front sight and barrel show marks from sight adjustment and the blade appears to be slightly off center. Octagon barrel retains most of the factory bluing with typical minor handling marks for a gun of this age. There is a ding in the end of the barrel away from the bore that can be seen in the photos. The bore shows no sign of corrosion with strong lands and grooves remaining. The receiver looks to have been case colored but retains little of the original finish. There are a few areas of minor pitting that can be seen in the photos along with some light scratches around the takedown screw. The hammer and tang retain most of the original bluing. The magazine tube has some minor pitting with a brownish patina on the visible surfaces. The butt stock in very good condition with only a few small impressions on the right side of the wrist. The varnish shows sign of thinning mostly on the left and bottom side. The forend retains most of its original finish with two minor chipsthat should be visible in the photos. This gun is being sold for an estate. Purchaser pays for shipping and insurance. Three-day inspection period applies. This gun must ship to purchaser’s FFL or C&R More pictures available upon request.
