Description:
24 inch octagon barrel chambered in 22 WRF caliber with a bright shiny excellent bore. Original open sights include a blade front and V-notch rear as well as a folding tang sight. Barrel retains most blue as does the receiver. Magazine tube is a gray patina. Interesting to see British Proof marks on the barrel, frame and bolt. Also a previous owner has electro penciled some numbers on the right side of the receiver. Wood is in very good condition with the number "135" stamped into the left side of the stock. Rifle style buttplate retains most all blue. About 849,000 were made between 1890-1932 and this one was made in 1911. Should be an excellent shooter.
