This is the Model 1890 Slide action take down rifle manufactured by Winchester in 1911. This classic pump rifle features an early M.S.A. Co. (Marbles Safety Axe Company) flip up Simplex rear tang sight and a Lyman combination Globe and Ivory Bead front sight. The barrel retains about 80-85% of the original blue that has silvered on the high edges with numerous small use marks and contusions with the mag tube and frame mostly plum brown to pewter gray. The stock and forearm are solid showing numerous old marks and contusions. The action functions properly with only a slight bit of barrel to frame movement.
