#4766 Winchester 1892 RBFMCB 38WCF

Description:
#4766 Winchester 1892 RBFMCB 38WCF, very early production in the 10XXX serial range, VG bore (about a 6-7) and smooth tight action. Fine metal with good markings, smooth even brown patina, and VG+ forestock. It is the butt stock that is the weak point to this otherwise VG++ gun. It has most likely been the victim of a horse oll-over or some similar accident and has had a typical period frontier repair using small nails, glue, etc. The stock seems to be sound with the exception of a slight “looseness” at the tangs from being spread nd if not for this stock damage, this early ’92 would easily be VG++ condition. $995.
