Description: #4821 Winchester 1892 SRC (saddle ring carbine), 38WCF, 60XXX which is approx 1896 production so will NOT require an FFL or C&R to ship this, as it is an antique. These Model ‘92-SRCs, being heavily used in most cases, it is surprising that this little carbine is still in really nice condition! The bore is about a 7+ on a scale of 10, and the action is as tight as new. The exterior is fine smooth even grey brown metal, no pitting, good markings and barrel address, and good TRACES of original blue in the more protected places. The wood is WELL above average and has no slivers, no cracks, fits perfectly, and just has the dents and scratches from 120 years of life. The rear barrel sight is the standard carbine ladder style and the saddle ring is intact. Tough to find an ANTIQUE 38/40 carbine in decent condition as the early ones were quite a bit lower in production than the 44WCF.
