Antique Winchester Model 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine SRC Trapper .32 WCF 16" with Factory Letter
Description:
**** SOLD **** For Sale is an Antique Winchester Model 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine 16" Trapper chambered in .32 WCF. The overall condition would rate as NRA Antique Poor with the metal showing a great deal of light to moderate pitting. The markings are worn, especially the barrel address with only fragments visible. Fortunately, the serial number is intact and visible and letters correctly. The upper tang address is probabally the best in terms of markings. The stock & forend are original to the gun. They fit good and have moderate wear and dents but no cracks. The only replacement parts are the rear sight & buttplate. Mechanically, everything is in good working order and the bore shows decent rifling. It would rate a little nicer than the exterior metal. The receiver was manufactured in 1896, received in the warehouse on March 10, 1900 and shipped March 15, 1900. A factory letter will accompany this carbine.
Overall, this is a nice, working piece of Winchester history.
