Serial #917479, .25-20 WCF, 24 inch octagon barrel with an excellent bore with strong rifling. This is a Winchester Model 1892 lever action rifle manufactured in 1921. The barrel and magazine tube retain about 85-90% of the original blue finish with thinning on the high edges and scattered freckling. The frame shows original blue in protected areas with the majority having toned to plum-brown with flaking to pewter-gray. The walnut stock and forearm are both solid with surface level scratches and scattered old contusions and use marks. It is sighted with a Marbles combination tang peep sight, a Marbles marked blank in the rear sight dovetail and a Marbles 2S front blade sight. The action functions properly with a tight lock up.
