Rare Factory 1892 Winchester Smooth Bore Rifle 44-40
Description: Here is a rare opportunity to own a seldom seen Factory Smooth Bore Rifle that letters from Cody. Any special order 1892 Winchester is rare but a Factory Documented Smooth Bore is extremely rare and hard to find. 24" round barrel and full magazine tube retain 70-75% original blue. Excellent bore, I will rate it a 8.5 on a scale from 1 to 10. Original front and rear sights. Very nice barrel address. 44-40 caliber. Receiver retains 70-75% of its original finish. Still some nice case colors showing on the hammer and lever. Interestingly, the top off hammer spur has been cut off. Was it done by a trick shot artist? Both forend and buttstock are in good condition. They both show handling marks, bumps, scrapes and scratches. Action functions very nicely. I do offer a layaway (contact me for the full details).
