Offered here is an original Winchester Model 1892 chambered in the famous .32-20 Winchester Center Fire cartridge. Manufactured in 1907 during the presidency of Theodore Roosevelt, this rifle was built during what many historians consider America's Golden Era. It was a time when the Panama Canal was under construction, Yellowstone and Yosemite were becoming treasured national parks, and America was emerging as a world power. This rifle was built before the nation entered World War I and during an age when cowboys, ranchers, lawmen, and frontiersmen still relied on lever- action rifles as essential tools of daily life. It was built when men were men, and when there was no backup to call. In tough situations, a man often had to rely on his rifle, his horse, his judgment, and his courage.
