Description: A fully operable rifle that has a lot of experience. It is holding up well and probably has another 100 years to go. The wood is in good shape with no cracks. Finish is getting dull but will improve with a little oiling. Where the stock attaches to the receiver there are a couple of deep marks on the left side but they do not affect the quality of the wood attachment. Blueing has faded. Rifle has the rare elevator sights that were common back in the days of the saddle ring carbine. I’ve shot it and it shoots great. Scabbards were not nice to rifles, especially on a rough horse.
