Description: ****************SALE PENDING**************** Another “ESTATE” firearm listing brought to you from Dust 2 Dollars who prides themselves on showing the complete gun in high quality pictures along with a detailed description for your consideration. With FACTORY LETTER!! We offer you a Winchester Model 1892 Lever Action Rifle Chambered in 25-20 W.C.F. that was manufactured in 1901. This model 1892 rifle wears the serial number of 159065 which makes the year of manufacture in 1901 which makes our 1892 120 years old. It wears a 24 inch octagon barrel has a very fine bore that is bright with no pitting and fine lands and grooves. The bluing is in very fine condition and shows marks and dings from use. The receiver finish is worn with a few spots of light pitting as shown. The forearm shows no cracks or chips with dings and use marks as does the butt stock. There are small cracks at the heel area as shown in the pictures. The only modification is one small hole in the tang as shown in the pictures. Overall this is a very fine example of an 1892 rifle that has a tight action that functions as it should. The front sight is marked “MARBLE / SHEARD” with the rear sight elevator marked “PAT. FEB. 5. 1901.”. The top of the barrel is marked “MANUFACTURED BY THE / WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S.A.”. Behind the rear sight it reads “25-20 W.C.F.”. The rear tang is marked “MODEL 1892 / ---WINCHESTER--- / PAT. OCT 14. 1884”. This will be shipped fully insured UPS Ground to your FFL for $60. It will be shipped in a foam lined double walled cardboard box that we have manufactured for us so that your gun arrives safe. Payment to be made by USPS Money Order or Cashier’s Check.
