Early Winchester model 1892 SRC ( saddle ring carbine) 44-40 caliber with factory letter from Winchester Museum authenticating it went out as a SRC in 1906. Std. 20 inch barrel. Smooth tight action, great looking bore say a 8-1/2 + of a 10 with shine and minimal wear. Overall a very smooth Blue/Brown finish overall, no pitting anywhere, wood shows use as normal with no cracks. Forearm is very very nice and no cracks. Very descent early SRC in most diserable 44-40 cal. Metal butt plate.
Rifel was purchased from Montana Ranch in the 1950s and has been in the owners hands since then.
