Description:
24 inch octagon barrel chambered in 25-20 WCF caliber. Bore has good rifling but is frosted. Sights include a German silver blade front and semi-buckhorn sporting rear. Barrel and full length magazine tube retain most original blue toning to plum/blue. Receiver has turned a plum/brown with some blue in the protected areas. Hammer and lever have just traces of case colors. Good blue on the loading gate. Nice functioning action. Walnut stock set is in good condition with some handling and usage mars. A little bit of figure showing as well. Rifle style buttplate. There are some letters stamped into the top barrel flat and on the receiver. I have no idea what they stand for. This Winchester rifle with Take-Down frame was made in 1904 and should be a fun shooter.
