1894 SPECIAL ORDER EASTERN CARBINE IN VERY RARE .32-40 CALIBER, #809XXX, MADE 1915
Description: 1894 SPECIAL ORDER EASTERN CARBINE IN VERY RARE .32-40 CALIBER, #809XXX, MADE 1915. This was the least produced of the Win. 1894 chamberings- scarce in rifles and fairly rare in carbines. This example has the typical uncleaned gray/brown receiver of guns of this era with exc. blue on the barrel and magazine. Special ordered without a saddle ring. All sharp barrel markings and is fitted with the correct carbine ladder sight with slide intact. Fine blue on the loading gate. Stock and forend show tight wood to metal fit and only normal handling marks. Tight action, strong hammer spring, secure safety half-cock and exc. bright bore. This 111-year-old 1894 came out of here in Montana. Seldom seen caliber in a carbine and very unusual ordered without a saddle ring.
