1913 WINCHESTER Model 1894 Lever Action SADDLE RING Carbine .30-30 C&R w/TANG MOUNTED PEEP SIGHT
Description: 1913 WINCHESTER Model 1894 Lever Action SADDLE RING Carbine .30-30 C&R w/TANG MOUNTED PEEP SIGHT Here we present a C&R Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Saddle Ring Carbine in .30-30, made in 1913 in New Haven, Connecticut. The credit for the design of such a prolific firearm again lies with John Moses Browning, who lent his extensive design talents to a large number of weapon types throughout his career. The Model 1894 was the first Winchester rifle made for use with the new technology of smokeless powder and was developed as a hunting rifle. Over 7.5 million were produced from 1894 until 2006. While various cartridges were supported throughout the run of the gun, the .30-30 Winchester became its staple. In practical use, the Model 1894 became a favorite for general shooters and hunters alike. To this day, it remains a deer hunting favorite, and, in all likelihood, more deer have been taken with the 1894 than any other. The overall condition is good. Some original blue remains. The action is excellent. The bore is bright with sharp rifling. The walnut stock has a 6” split on either side over the toe, which is stable, otherwise completely whole. This one is rather short and somewhat lighter with its half-length magazine from the factory, still with its saddle ring. It really has the cowboy appeal with the Marbles tang peep sight and the rear sight which was removed from the barrel. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 20 inches. Caliber: .30 Winchester Center Fire (.30-30) Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $3000 #230576 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
