Antique Marlin Model 1893 Sporting Rifle in 38-55 with Special Smokeless Steel Barrel
Description:
Nice honest Marlin 1893 Sporting Rifle in untouched attic condition. Designed by Lewis Hepburn, the 1893 was the main competition to the Model 1894 Winchester and is still made today as the Marlin Model 336. Antique Serial Number is in the 162,000 range. Some original case colors are still visible in the protected areas of the lever and on the hammer. Very Good Plus Wood with minor handling marks...nice wood to metal fight and the stock still has about 65% original varnish remaining. Never sanded or cleaned. Action is tight and the bore is Excellent with no pitting, strong lands and grooves, and bright. Antique-Pre-1898. No FFL Required under Federal Law.
