Extremely Rare & Original Winchester Model 1894 30WCF 14" Trapper SRC
Description: Extremely Rare & Original Winchester Model 1894 30WCF 14" Trapper SRC with BATF release papers. Only a total of 16 Model 1894/94 carbines with 14" barrels have been certified and released by the BATF, as compared to 226 14" Model 1892s. Serial # 462548 would have been manufactured approximately 1909. Typical of the Winchester Trappers, this old girl shows her age, being a basically gray and patina finish with scattered surface pitting from walking many a trap line in the cold, wet weather. All markings remain legible. Barrel address is correctly placed forward of the rear barrel band and the fore arm measures the correct 7 7/8 inches. Sights are correct. Original gumwood stocks show wear and typical dents/dings/scratches but thankfully have never been cleaned, sanded or refinished and do not have any extra holes. Action functions properly, as does half-cock safety. Firearm has been test-fire and is fully functional, still shoots great! Bore is about a 6 of 10 showing wear, light frost and scattered minor pitting but grouped well using Remington Core-Lokt 170 grain factory ammo. Being 1 of only 16, chances are good another will not show up for sale very soon, so don't miss out!! No international sales.
