LATE TRANSITION ERA, GREAT DEPRESSION M-94 CARBINE, MADE 1936
Description: LATE TRANSITION ERA, GREAT DEPRESSION M-94 CARBINE, .30 WCF, MADE 1936, very few of these carbines were made during this time of slow down in all manufacturing due to the economic conditions facing the U.S., what's unusual about this carbine is that it has a little fancier than standard walnut plus it has a saddle ring which during this time was about eight years out of use, so it is possible it was either a special order or possibly just a left over receiver with the ring stud- appears factory as the blue is better around the ring where it is protected showing it has probably always been on, often when Winchester had a special order rifle or carbine they would pick out a better piece of walnut to be fitted, has normal carbine ladder rear sight with slide intact, carbine front sight with high pinned blade, fine deep barrel and mag blue, correct carbine rear butt plate, fine blue on the bolt with normal thinning/flaking blue to the receiver sides, looks to have had a tang sight on at one time as the tang has bright blue with a faint outline front and back where the sight was, middle of left side of butt stock has a perfectly filled 3/8" circle. It is so perfectly done that it might have been done at the factory to repair a knot in the stock blank, very small and hard to notice, tight action, exc. bore with a slight ring a few inches from the muzzle. SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Manufacturer: Winchester Model: M-94 Carbine made 1936 Serial Number: 1110XXX Caliber Info: .30WCF Condition: fine+ Barrels: 20 |
