SPECIAL ORDER 1894 SADDLE RING CARBINE, .25-35, HALF-MAGAZINE, #466XXX, MADE 1910. Fine example that shows about all the deep barrel blue. The barrel is also special fitted with a three leaf express sight with all three leaves present. The left side of the receiver shows most of the deep blue with a tinge of plum mixing in mainly on the high edges. The right side of the receiver shows about half of the blue with the balance turning plum and brown with some light brown spotting. Stock and forearm show only light handling with very tight wood to metal fit. Action is tight, springs are strong and the safety half-cock holds securely. The bore is excellent and sharp. This is a fairly scarce special order half magazine carbine seldom encountered on already uncommon and desirable .25-35 saddle ring carbines. An attractive 116 year old Winchester.
