SPECIAL ORDER WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 TAKE DOWN RIFLE CHAMBERED FOR 38-55

Description:
26 inch half octagon barrel. Half length tube magazine. Original sights include a No. 21 sporting front with nickel silver blade and a No. 22 sporting rear. Plain walnut forearm with matching straight grip buttstock fit with a crescent rifle buttplate. Near excellent condition overall with the metal surfaces showing only light handling marks and retaining about 85-90% original blue with light high edge wear and the upper tang thinning to gunmetal gray. Bore is excellent, bright and shiny with strong rifling. The lever retains vibrant case-hardened colors. Beautiful select grade buttstock exhibits pronounced tiger stripe pattern and shows only light wear with handling marks. The forearm shows a few handling marks with a neatly filled scratch on the right side. Manufactured in 1906.
