Very nice Winchester Model 1894 .32-40 excellent bore, wood, bluing
Description:
Here is an 1894 made in 1925. One might wonder that late in the game why the caliber of .32-40 was chosen given that the more modern .30-30 and .32 Spl were certainly proven numbers by that date but there was a .32-40 high speed round out that was a pretty potent number. Some folks used those in guns that weren't made for it and the high speed version was discontinued. This particular 1894 has been treated well. The wood has a few minor dings at 95 years old but otherwise looks nearly new. While the bluing is gone from most of the receiver (common for Winchesters of that decade), it is bright and vibrant on the barrel and magazine tube. The bore is perfect. 26" round barrel. $50 shipping and insurance via priority mail to your ffl or C&R. Layaway available.
