Winchester 1894 30WCF Extra Light Takedown 6 Special Order Options!!
Description: You are viewing a used but in very good condition Winchester Model 1894 rifle that has 6 special order features. A Winchester records letter from the Cody Firearms Museum will be included with the rifle, which lists the data for Winchester Model 1894 serial # 144028 as follows: rifle, 30 caliber, 1/2 octagon, extra light, plain trigger, 1/2 magazine, shotgun butt, rubber butt plate, takedown (see last picture). This old girl letters to a tee and remains in original, untouched/unaltered condition. The 26" extra light 1/2 octagon barrel is an extreme rarity in any Winchester. The stocks are sound, never cleaned or sanded, never refinished, no splits, no cracks, and no extra swivel holes. They do exhibit normal usage dings and are still tight to the metal. Original sights include the traditional front sight with German silver blade and the 3 leaf express rear sight with all three leaves intact. Barrel retains 50% thinning blue turned patina. Receiver and lever about 10% thinned blue turned patina; lever does have traces of case colors in the protected areas. Takedown is tight, locks up and functions perfectly. Action is crisp and the half cock safety functions properly. I have shot this rifle and it is a good shooter, but have a gunsmith recheck it if you intend to shoot it. The bore is good with strong rifling but is a little dark in the grooves, about a 7.5 of 10 and should clean better. Correct hard rubber butt plate with Winchester logo is sound with no chips, no repairs, no cracks. All markings and parts are original and correct for the period of manufacture (1902). Add $50 shipping and insurance. Sorry no sales to California and no international sales. FFL or C&R required for this one. Bank checks, money orders and PayPal accepted. Thanks for looking!!!
