Winchester 1894
Extra Lightweight Take-down Short Rifle 1907 in Higher Condition
Description: Offered for your consideration is this fine, higher condition Winchester 1894 Extra Lightweight takedown short rifle in 30 W.C.F. Made in 1907, it has a 22 inch rapid taper barrel with a half magazine. The barrel has a dovetailed ramp front sight base fitted with a #13 WF Sheard 1/16” gold bead sight marked with a June 12, 1900 patent date. The rear sight is a Winchester 24D with 1C elevator. The bore is as new - excellent, sharp and bright. The muzzle is uncrowned and in the white, as it should be. The barrel and magazine retain 95% of the factory blue. The receiver is in excellent, as new mechanical condition. The loading gate retains 98+ of the fire blue niter finish. The receiver retains 85% of the high polish factory blue. There is scattered speckling on the right side as you can see in the photos. The receiver bottom retains 95+% blue with a very slight trace of sharp edge wear. It does not show the usual carry wear you see on most Winchesters. The bolt has some very slight thinning of the bluing near the front. The lever and hammer retain most of their bright, vivid factory case colors! See the photos. The takedown feature works perfectly. The barrel assembly and receiver mate up perfectly when assembled, absolutely no over-travel or wear. The buttstock and forearm are tight and solid, no cracks or chips. The wood stands proud above the metal at all mating surfaces. The wood retains full coverage of the original factory varnish. It has the hard rubber Winchester buttplate which is free from chips and cracks. There are a few scattered minor handling marks and two dents which you can see in the photos. This rifle has seen very little use and is as near new as you’ll find for a Winchester that’s 117 years old! 3 day non firing inspection. $3,495.00 Shipping is $60.00 to your FFL dealer or C&R FFL via USPS Priority Mail. Payment by USPS money orders or check. Shipping is next business day with USPS mo payment. Checks have to clear the bank prior to shipment, usually 3-5 business days.
