Winchester 1894 in 25-35 W.C.F ~Special Order 1/2 Octagon and 1/2 Magazine

Winchester 1894 in 25-35 W.C.F with excellent bore. Serial Number 151449, mfg. in 1902. Special order 1/2 octagon 26" barrel and button magazine. The receiver retains approximately 50% thinning blue The barrel retains approximately 80% blue with various small nicks. The stocks have been lightly sanded but are close to even or even proud in spots with the metal. They are a little darker than they appear in the pictures. Mechanics work as designed. Period peep sight. The front sight must have been loose because it's peened in. This is a very nice straight 1894 in the most desirable caliber. Includes factory Cody letter confirming configuration.

From the George Madis Winchester Book; Approximately one million pre-war 1894's were produced betwwen 1894 and 1942.
Out of that one million, only a few rifles had special features. This rifle has two special features.
1. Special shorter magazine - 2,671
2. Rifles with part- round barrels - 3,633
