Description: The Winchester Model 1894 stands as America's most successful lever-action rifle, with over 7 million produced since its introduction. This early example from 1903 represents the rifle during its formative years when Winchester was perfecting the design that would become legendary across the American frontier. The .38-55 Winchester was one of the original chamberings for the Model 94, offering excellent accuracy and moderate recoil that made it popular with hunters and target shooters alike.
This very fine documented example retains over 80% of its original finish and features the classic 26" round barrel with blade front sight and adjustable sporting rear sight. Strong bore with some darkness in the grooves, typical for a rifle of this age, and mechanically fine throughout. Varnished walnut stocks with traditional crescent butt plate are in very good condition with some period crazing in the varnish consistent with age. Factory letter confirms the original configuration and caliber, adding significant value and authenticity to this early Model 94. An excellent example of Winchester's iconic lever-action rifle from the early 20th century.
