Description:
Winchester model 1894 SRC, chambered in .32 WS. Made in 1900 this gun is now 123 years old and appears that all finishes are original. The metal finishes are intake with areas that are fading. The cosmetic condition of this SRC is nice and even wear as one would expect for gun of this age. Although the blue on the receiver is very “strong” there are some spots of old surface pitting the top of the barrel near the breech and on the top of the action.
Mechanically it feels like new. The lock-up is strong and tight. All moving parts glide smoothly, and the bore is bright and strong. Notice the screw head slots are decent but they have been turned without the use of a proper fitting screw driver.
So, this gun has had a long service life. It was well maintained throughout its existence and the exterior wear is “used not abused”.
