WINCHESTER 94 SPECIAL ORDER CARBINE 32 WS mid 1940's
Description:
This is a late wartime Model 94 carbine chambered for the less encountered 32 Winchester Special. This gun was special ordered from the factory with fantastic HIGH GRADE WALNUT stocks in the early 1940's, and remains in (as received) condition. This gun is hard to pin down a date of manufacture, as factory records were lost for a period of roughly 6 years after the war. I would say she was built in 1943-1944 (per factory records photo number 14), The gun was carried for a few years prior to the passing of the WWII veteran that ordered it new, (acording to the description his grandson provided to me). It was then stashed away for some 60+ years before I purchased it around 2011. The condition of this incredible carbine is as original as one could ever hope to find of a 75 year old firearm. The metal retains 97-98% of the original deep factory blue, with only slight carry wear around the S/N area, with no scratches or other blemishes. The fantastic high grade walnut has terrific figure, and remains unretouched from the factory. The stocks fit proud to the butt plate and all other metal, as they should. The bore is mint, the action works fine, and she carries the correct original sight package, (including the front sight hood). If you demand the best for your collection, this is an example that would be NEAR IMPOSSIBLE TO IMPROVE UPON.
I prefer Postal Money Orders, unless otherwise agreed.
