Winchester Model 1894 – .30 WCF, 1927, FACTORY ORIGINAL CONDITION
Description: General Specs: Winchester, 1927, .30-30, 7lbs 13oz Serial Number: 1031437 The Winchester Model 1894 was the first lever rifle able to fire the high-pressure smokeless powder that came with the .30 WCF, also known as the .30-30 caliber. The Winchester M1894 comes from the era when cowboys still road high in their saddles throughout the West, armed with Colts and Winchesters, drifting with the cattle while real danger still existed from rogue Indians and highway robbers. This rifle, sn1031437 built in 1927, is a desirable 1894 sporting rifle in REMARKABLE FACTORY ORIGINAL CONDITION with strong, 97% barrel blue, 99% magazine tube blue, 98% loading gate blue, 80% receiver blue, and nice factory finish remaining on the wood. The screws are all in great condition and original, there are no cracks, splits, or repairs to the wood, and all the lettering and stamps are crisp and clear. The 26” full round Nickel Steel barrel has a PERFECT SHINY BORE WITH CRISP SHARP RIFLING LIKE A NEW GUN…NEVER FOUND IN A 93-YEAR OLD GUN! Most early M1894 rifles have been used hard and have had their finishes either restored or at least touched up over time. Even if cared for they will show bluing loss on the barrel, receiver, lever, and loading gate. When you find a 93-year old Winchester Model 1894 in nice original condition it is something to take note of. Even the sights have never been touched, with the Winchester #24A rear sight with the proper #1B elevator and Winchester #21 front sight. This is an opportunity for you to own a factory original Winchester 1894 in .30-30 caliber that is the most popular deer hunting rifle ever produced, with over 7 million rifles having left the factory overall. The value of these awesome Winchester rifles is in the high-condition, untouched, factory original rifles, and clearly this is one of the rare finds that fits that category. There are no extra holes where an after-market sight may have been mounted. The Winchester Model 1894 is perfect for deer hunting in the wooded areas throughout the country and anywhere a true rifle with a 26 barrel is warranted. Weighing 7 3/4lbs, she is balanced to perfection and steady as a rock, making for a quick, accurate rifle. Don’t miss out on your opportunity. Thanks for looking!
