WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 LEVER ACTION RIFLE IN 30 WCF WITH IRISH REPUBLICAN BROTHERHOOD PLAQUE

Description:
26 inch barrel with full length magazine tube. Caliber 30 WCF. Original sporting sights and a good bore with lightly worn rifling. Barrel and tube have a good amount of thinning blue. Action and buttplate show some wear to the finish with some flaking. Hammer and lever retain traces of case color. Walnut forearm and straight grip stock with crescent steel buttplate. Wood is in good condition and has a German Silver Placque on the right side “Irish Republican Brotherhood Dublin”. The Irish Republican Brotherhood was a secret fraternal organization dedicated to the establishment of an "independent democratic republic" in Ireland between 1858 and 1924. An interesting Winchester 1894 manufactured in 1907 and sure to be a conversation starter.
