Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Saddle Ring Carbine
Description: Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Saddle Ring Carbine in 30-30 This is a Winchester 1894 Saddle Ring Carbine chambered in 30 WCF. It has a 20" round barrel with a barrel band and stock band. It has standard walnut stocks with a semi-buckhorn barrel sight and ramped blade front sight. Condition: The overall condition of this 1894 carbine is good and has some original finish along with brown/gray patina on balance. It shows some wear in places with scattered oxidation and some slight pitting. The wood is in general good although there are scratches and chips. In particular there is a ding at the top of the stock near the butt plate and a hole in the fore arm and a chip missing on the right side of the tang. The carbine has probably had the barrel replaced at some point and the fore arm band has the wrong screw in it. The carbine cycles rounds well and locks up fine, I have not shot this carbine but I may shortly I suspect it is a good shooter based on the bore. The bore is bright with strong rifling throughout. The sights are not original. These carbines are handy and this one being an antique can be shipped directly to the buyer.
