Winchester Model 1894 Take-Down Rifle in .32 Winchester Special Built in 1912
Description:
Serial #627211, .32 Win. Spl., 26" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1912-made rifle that has about 70-75% of the original blue remaining on the barrel and magazine tube. The balance of the metal has turned to a mellow plum-brown patina over time, with thin areas of surface freckling throughout, as well as some silvering at the muzzle and along the contact points on the magazine. Traces of original blue remain on the protected areas of the receiver, with the balance worn to a mottled pewter gray and pale brown patina. The lever and hammer have the same patina, but with hints of muted color case-hardening on the protected areas. The barrel has the original front sight blade mated to a Winchester Smokeless adjustable rear sight, and still locks up tightly to the receiver. The uncheckered walnut forend and straight-wrist buttstock are in very good shape, with numerous minor handling marks and blemishes scattered about the otherwise very good old oil finish. This is a handsome Winchester 1894 take-down rifle, and rates very good plus overall. FFL or C&R;
