Winchester Model 1894 Takedown Rifle Cal. 32 Winchester Special Made 1902
Description: Winchester Model 1894 takedown rifle, caliber 32 Winchester Special, 26" octagon barrel, full magazine, crescent butt with steel butt plate, plain walnut stocks, plain trigger, open sights, blued and case hardened finish, serial number 183415, made 1900 per Madis but 1902 per Cody records. CONDITION: Barrel and mag tube retain 65% original bright blue with some staining and scratching especially due to the take down operation, which is tight with no wobble. Bore is a 7.5 of 10. Action is smooth and doesn't bind. Half cock safety works properly. Receiver, take down flange, hammer, butt plate and lever all have silvered out, mixed with some patina, traces of case hardening on hammer and lever, butt plate upper toe has some rust build that should clean off. Stocks show expected nicks, dings and scratches from 120+ years of use, with a short/tight split at the toe of the butt stock and a similar one coming off the lower tang, small initials lightly scratched into each side of the butt stock. Overall an untouched rifle that shows honest wear but no abuse. Should make a fine hunter/shooter after a check up by a competent gunsmith. TERMS: No international sales.
