Americas favorite deer rifle. The perfect hunting gun either on foot or from the saddle, lightweight, nimble, and fast to action the 94′ is simple, safe and reliable. The Model 94 is the rifle most associated with the Winchester name, it has sold over 7,000,000 units and is often referred to as the “ultimate lever-action”. This handy Winchester carbine was made in 1939 and is serial number 1189048. It has the desirable long wood forearm, a knurled hammer and serrated buttplate, the 20″ barrel has a mirror bore, crisp rifling and retains its sight hood, the receiver has 99% original factory bluing with some lightly silvered edges accentuating the receivers form and only a few light handling marks. The screws are in excellent condition and the wood to metal fit is outstanding, check the photographs to see the exacting fit of the top tang, wow! The wood is well above average and even shows fiddleback running through the stock; one wonders if this gun was made for a Winchester worker as its well above the usual excellent workmanship seen on model 94’s! The rifles smooth lever action and a crisp trigger breaking at 5.5lb with no overtravel adds up to the classic prewar Winchester experience, this iconic carbine has been cherished for 87 years, now it’s ready to continue its adventure.
