Winchester Model 94 Saddle Ring Carbine in .30 WCF, uniquely engraved
Description:
We have here on consignment a Winchester Model 94 Saddle Ring Carbine in .30 WCF. This carbine is heavily engraved in a cowboy theme with cattle brands, a large steer, a western rider, and herds of cattle on the barrel. The quality of engraving is very good but unfortunately the engraver's name is unknown. The consigner states that he has had the carbine for many years and he was told the engraving was done a very long time ago. This carbine was carried a good bit and has normal handling marks for a gun made in 1923. The overall finish is about 65% on the areas not engraved with a few scattered areas of very light oxidation. Wood is very good with no cracks visible and no pieces missing. The bore on the 20 inch barrel is bright and shiny. Standard carbine ladder sight and pinned blade front sight. This carbine would be a great conversation starter on the wall in your office or trophy room, and is still a plenty good gun for hunting. Screws are good with one tang screw showing very minor undersized screwdriver marks. Mechanically fine. Shipping and insurance $100. Checks ok. Credit cards add 3% premium. New Mexico residents must pay sales tax.
