Winchester Model 1895 lever action saddle ring carbine caliber.30 U. S. (.30-40 Krag) manufactured in the year 1900. Barrel has approximately 90 to 95% blue slightly fading. The receiver has approximately 30% blue with the rest of the receiver a light brown patina. The barrel band and buttstock have sling eye studs. The upper handguard is missing as many are. The Winchester buttplate Has a small chip at the toe. The action works perfectly. Note: the receiver had a Lyman side sight at sometime in the past and is not present and the screw holes are filled with plug screws. The forend is correct with the finger grooves. The bore has excellent rifling and is smooth in the grooves. This is a neat 1895 with the look and feel of the old West!
