This 30 Government (30-40) Winchester Model 1895 saddle ring carbine is circa 1902. The approx. 22"" round barrel has a good bore with strong rifling and frosting in the grooves. The overall gun has approx. 65% blue with the remainder turning brown. The top of the receiver is marked 30 (for the caliber) and the tang has the standard Winchester markings. This saddle ring carbine is equipped with a Lyman receiver sight. The stocks are very good with no cracks or chips and handling wear including a couple of dents on the right buttstock. The saddle ring is present. The action functions correctly. This nice looking Winchester Model 1895 saddle ring carbine would fit your collection.
