Description: ULTRA RARE MINT Winchester Model 1895 Special Order! .30-40 Krag! Item Description Firearms Unlimited LLC is proud to present this beautiful Winchester Model 1895 Saddle Ring Carbine chambered in .30-40 Krag (.30 U.S.). 1895 rifles are some of the most sought after by Winchester collectors, due to their wide use in the Spanish American War, and even into WW1. However, it was most notably the rifle of choice of President Theodore Roosevelt whom used them in African hunting trips. This Model 1895 is the desirable and scarce saddle ring carbine variation. With a 22in round barrel, it is also equipped with factory installed Lyman No. 201 peep sight in additional to the original top mounted ladder sight. For being manufactured in 1905, the condition is stunning, with a deep rich blue finish across all surfaces and some light patina in certain areas, The wood is equally nice, with only some minor signs of use. The bore has deep rifling grooves with only some minor frost. The original crescent shotgun buttplate is 100% intact and even the original cleaning kit is inside the storage area. This is the only example we have been able to find in this configuration, and would be the crown jewel to the advanced Winchester collection!
