S# 79214, .30 U.S. Mod. 1903, 22 inch barrel, good bore with strong rifling and even erosion thoughout. This 1915 manufactured rifle features a scarce 22 inch tapered barrel. Metal surfaces are mostly a gun metal grey patina with traces of blue in protected areas. Wood shows several filled holes from sling swivel installation and has been refinished leaving metal proud at tangs, butplate and front of action. A hole has been added in left side of action for an incorrect (Probably from an 1894) Lyman peep sight. That sight is no longer present. rear sight is a correct flat top, front is a modern replacement. An interesting 1895 with unusual barrel length. FFL or C+R
