Description: BEAUTIFUL, HIGH CONDITION MODEL 43 BOLT ACTION RIFLE IN SCARCE .218 BEE CALIBER, #58XXX, MADE 1952. This example shows nearly all of the bright blue with only the most minor of thinning on the bolt knob. Has the correct Lyman receiver sight with the rear barrel sight dovetail having a filler blank with no indication that there was ever a buckhorn sight mounted on the barrel. Excellent walnut stock with original steel butt plate, exc. mechanically and perfect bright bore. This one was factory drilled and tapped for scope mounting and has filler screws in the factory holes (In the Spring 2016 issue of the Winchester Collector put out by the Winchester Arms Collectors Association, there is a detailed article about the Model 43. In it is the info on how to tell if the rifle was drilled and tapped for a scope from the factory). Really nice example with sling swivels and Model 43 .218 Bee marked magazine intact.
