Being cal 44 makes it a scarce gun. You don't normally seen many 53's in 44 cal. Bbl blue is pretty much there but has a wear pattern mostly towards the muzzle. Thinning at the carry point. Marbles flip up style sight and Lyman post front sight. Beautiful bright shiny bore. Receiver has lost most finish like most of these. Some blue in protected areas. An early 53 and marked in the 53 serial range. S/N 340. There are two holes on the receiver for a sight. Wood is good overall cond and has had a coat of finish applied. A decent job was done and it fits VG not being undersized. Action is good. Take down is tight. A very good gun for using.
