WINCHESTER MODEL 54 BOLT ACTION RIFLE CHAMBERED FOR 9 MM (9x57 MAUSER)

Description:
24 inch round barrel showing standard Winchester Nickel Steel barrel markings with “9 M/M” marked on left side of chamber. Pinned blade in post front sight with brass bead, a filler blank in the rear dovetail and a Lyman No. 48-W  receiver sight. Checkered walnut pistol grip stock with Schnabel tipped fore end fit with sling eyes and a ribbed steel buttplate. Very good condition overall with mostly clean smooth metal surfaces showing about 90% finish. Bright shiny bore with decent rifling. Stock is solid showing a few handling marks scattered here and there. Manufactured in 1929. Comes with book “Winchester Model 54 Bolt Action Rifle 1925-1936” by David P. Bichrest where this gun is listed by serial number on page 128.
