Winchester Model 54 early style 270 Pre Model 70 Excellent!
Description: Forerunner to the world renowned Pre War Model 70, here is a 100% original and very clean Winchester Model 54 in the less common .270 W.C.F. caliber. Very unique S/N that reads the same upside down S/N 6009 with a matching scribed bolt made in 1926. Excellent condition throughout especially considering its 94 years of circulation! 95% beautiful rust blue with bottom metal showing only a few spots but original and outstanding for this model. 95% Varnish with scattered handling marks. There were only 50,000 Model 54s made and most have been altered for scope use or a host of other abominations. There are no extra drill holes or bolt/safety alterations whatsoever and all components are factory correct including swivel eye studs and the 6W rear sight!
