Early 4 digit 2nd year production Model 55 rifle. 24 inch round barrel chambered in Takedown only 30 WCF caliber. Bright shiny bore with crisp action. Original sights include a Lyman beaded blade front and a sporting rear. This fine looking barrel retains all of its original blue. Receiver also has most of its original blue with several small scratches and a couple of spots that have flaked. Wood is very nice looking too with most of its original finish as well. Steel butt plate. Good looking Winchester with a desirable early serial number. About 20,500 made between 1924-1932.
